Recently I have learned that the long proposed traffic signal at Southwest Ave and University Parkway will go out for bids this fall and installation will take place in the Spring of 2012. TDOT held up the project for quite some time and property had to be acquired for the crossing signal supports. This will include a timed pedestrian signalization, crosswalk markings, and warning markings to alert motorists that they are approaching a signalized crossing.
